Vision
‘Exile Lens –
Frames for Tibet’ is an endeavour to widen the limits of the Tibetan
freedom struggle by providing an interactive site for images that
render the story of the Tibetan people as seen through the eyes of
Tibetan photographers.
With images
depicting the diverse Tibetan communities scattered around the globe,
Exile lens promises to present a panoramic picture of the Tibetan
struggle to the effect of serving as inspiration for generations of
Tibetans.
Exile Lens seeks
to encourage the art of photography within the Tibetan community and
nurture the untapped power of photography in bolstering the Tibetan
freedom struggle through individual initiation and creativity.
Exile
Lens hopes to institute itself as a viable platform for established as
well as up-coming Tibetan photographers.
Team
The ever-expanding
team of Exile lens is at core a group of dedicated Tibetan
photographers and a circle of tireless Tibet supporters, coordinated in
our shared efforts by Tenzin Chojor and Sherab
Woeser.
We are
deeply indebted to the initial support of Mrs. Aasha Reddy, Mr. Arthur
Kaufmann, Ms. Jane Moore, Ms. Satsuki, Mr. Tenzin Jigme and Mr Thupten
Phuntsok. Without their indulgence this site would not have come
online.
Support
Exile lens is a
non-profit initiative and needs the support of users and well wishers
to sustain its service to the community. Your encouragement in both
kind and deed will inspire us to improve and imagine
further.
You can show your
support to us by writing in at exilelens@gmail.com or through
donation at our paypal account. |
